The material palette is sensitive to the original architecture, replicating the existing ornate architraves, skirtings and cornicings. These sit alongside new bespoke joinery items which reinstate the grand window shutters and provide clever storage solutions throughout.
The generous floor to ceiling heights have been reinstated and a bespoke kitchen crafted into the space. To the front of the dwelling, the original entrance arch has been refurbished providing a focal point within the main circulation hallway.
With limited space to work with, the design solution fulfils the potential of the dwelling in a sensitive and considered way, reinstating the lost architectural features whilst creating a series of spaces that reflect and compliment the Grade II Listing status of the existing building.
